A whole new world

My first blog ever!
I am entering the exciting world of showing dogs. In a few weeks my husband and I will be picking out a Chesapeake Bay Retriever puppy. She and I will have a lot to learn since I have not ever shown before and of course, she has only just opened her eyes. I plan to blog here in order to keep a record of "our" growth. For me, as a show dog owner/trainer and for her as a growing pup and learning to be a show dog. I hope to be somewhere inbetween "Rhapsody in Whites's" handler (as for the professionalism - not the orientation) and Winky's owners in that they are pretty much novices but still end up walking away with BEST in SHOW.
